Move through the taped layout and confirm that seating, drawers, doors and daily circulation still feel comfortable.

A room is more than four wall measurements. Doors, windows, outlets and permanent features determine where furniture can sit comfortably and how the room will function once it is furnished.
- Walls Record each usable wall length rather than assuming opposite walls are identical.
- Doors Note both the opening width and the direction the door swings into or away from the room.
- Windows Measure the window width, sill height and surrounding wall space before placing tall furniture nearby.
- Fixed Points Mark outlets, vents, radiators, built-ins and other elements that furniture should not unnecessarily block.
